Word of Mouth Web Site Promotions

There are numerous ways to promote your web site. Heck just telling your neighbour about your web site is a form of advertising, word of mouth. When I was a computer trainer for 20 years I never had to pay to advertise. Word of mouth advertising was more than enough to keep me busy for 20 years before I retired.
I worked hard and did my best to give my students what they needed to successful run their home or office computers, so much so that people couldn’t help but share how great the instructor was and that, all by itself kept me busy for two decades.
After 20 years I retired from the brick and mortar world and took up residence online, still helping others.
I learned many years ago, from a seminar with, err, ahhhh. Well I forgot who I learned it from it was so long ago but what he said I never forgot. Oh, his name just jumped in my head. Brian Tracy, a great teacher.
He said, that when someone likes a job well done will tell, on average, 3 other people, but if the job sucks they will tell, again on average, 9 people. So the word about how bad you suck will get around a whole lot faster than when you do a great job, so it’s always best to do a great job, isn’t it.

I definitely find that word of mouth advertising to be a great way to get target traffic to my gardening blogs. I get most of my traffic directly from search engines but I do get a good percentage from word of mouth.
