My Fly Fishing New Brunswick Blog

Fly Fishing New Brunswick courtesy of Fly fishing in New Brunswick Canada has been a wonderful experience for me over the past 30 years and I love to share those fly fishing experiences with others, like you. Sharing my love of fly fishing has lead to a few other fishermen taking on the joy of fly fishing.

I may not fly fish for a lot of different species but the Atlantic salmon, brook trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass and pickerel that I do fly fish for are very worthy opponents. I have been fishing these guys for 30 years just here in New Brunswick and have never lost interest in fly fishing for a moment.

I of course try to match the fly rod and reel I use for the species I am fishing. I am certainly not going to use the heavier rods I might use for salmon and pickerel on brook trout.

There is a technique to fly fishing which just makes it fun. It's easy to learn how to fly fish, heck I can teach you in just a few minutes but you will spend the rest of your life learning to do it better. It's like an art and I love watching various techniques in fly fishing for fishing particular situations depending on what is around you to make your casting tougher.
